That's a good
picture of Albo. As I recall that photo was taken on
Firebase Bastogne and the photographer represented either brigade or
division headquarters. He didn't want me in the photo because we dog
handlers were not politically correct and usually looked pretty scruffy
both in the rear and in the field. Anyhow, he wanted someone who looked
sharp and fit the image the military wanted to project to the world to pose
with the dog so that's why Jeff Swisher of the 1/327th was in the picture
and not me.
